Digital Signal Processing - Vibrations & Acoustics

The Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Lab is under the management of Dr. Sen-Maw Kuo, Chair, Department of Electrical Engineering.  The main research emphasis is focused on real-time DSP applications.  The projects being conducted by the lab are primarily active noise control (ANC) and active vibration control (AVC) (more...).

 

 

High Power System Laboratory

Dr. Donald Zinger, Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, has proposed a High Power Systems Laboratory for the development of electrical power systems for aircraft and a wide variety of other applications.  Electric power systems for aircraft are continuously increasing in size.  In commercial aircraft the need for efficiency is requiring the development of more electric aircraft with power requirements of 1.5 MW. For military aircraft advanced weapon systems are creating the demand for increased electrical power at levels of nearly 10 MW. (more...).
