Project Introduction

Project Introduction- Producing Hovercrafts in our group will help diversify the company product line at the same time keeping the company viable to customers request in the Go-Kart and Train products. Overall it will increase the company value, covering a wider scope of the adult vehicle market.

Project Purpose- Increase profit ratio while remaining financially stable through our team budget, while adding new technology and parts to the existing Hovercraft. In the long run increasing it’s production.

 Project Scope- Troubleshoot, Redesign, Build, and Test all aspects of the new Hovercraft that will be created during production time.

 Project Objectives- Build a new Hovercraft while using a former Hovercraft that failed in the past as a starting point.

A.    Research- Search the internet for information (Designs, Engines, Parts, Supplies, Vendors) that can be used in the production of the new and improved Hovercraft.

B.     Design- To create a new layout of the Hovercraft using AutoCAD 2002 that will meet the specs and formulas necessary

C.    Build- Produce the final design and specs decided upon in the research and design stages of the objectives

D.    Test- Place the Hovercraft outside on land and turning on the engine to make sure the Hovercraft is in working condition. Then making any final adjustments necessary.

E.     Customer Recommendation- Receive a good customer review that will lead to referrals.

Project Deliverables- Provide a working Hovercraft that meets or exceeds predetermined specs and metrics determined by the customer.

Budget- The team was allocated $420 to complete the hovercraft.

Time- Start date: October 22, 2002

           Completion date: November 22, 2002
