Dr. Brianno Coller has received the prestigious College's Faculty of the Year Award for 2007. Only one professor in the college receives such an honor each year. Dr. Coller has made outstanding contributions in teaching and service since he joined NIU in 2003. His activities in developing the ME Emphasis of Advanced Computing and Simulation and students' professional team projects have made great impact on the curriculum and students' extracurricular work. One example is that the SAE
Formula Car of 2007 received the highest rank in the college's history and among all Illinois universities. His contributions have been recognized by the students as he has received the department's Faculty Teaching Award and Faculty Service Award several times.
