Director: Professor Ehsan Asoudegi

Mission
Instruction and research on the principles of ergonomics for the understanding of human limitations and capabilities in man-machine systems. Such understanding assists the industrial and systems engineer to design better and safer products and work places.

Sample Facilities
Biomechanics & Work Physiology: Equipment for measuring human strength, heart rate, EMG, energy expenditure, and other physiological factors.

Audiovisual & Information Processing: Equipment for measuring noise, vibration, illumination, reaction time, motor skills, information processing, and other cognitive factors.

Work Measurement and Time Study: Equipment for measuring standard time, rating factor, and work sampling.
